For a month leading up to New Year, New York's stunning Grand Central Station joins in the festive spirit with the spectacular Grand Central Kaleidoscope Light Show which transforms the main concourse's famed Sky Ceiling.

Painted on the Sky Ceiling in a wash of blue like a planetarium are the constellations of the winter zodiac. In fact, when the station was first built it was thought that the ceiling might be used as an astronomical teaching tool. For the holiday season, the constellations are brought to life during the luminious Grand Central Kaleidoscope Light Show which is set to music.

Down on the ground, stalls fill the station with an abundance of handicrafts, jewellery, clothes and home furnishings - ideal for last-minute Christmas shopping.
