Comprised of four films: Bliss and Heaven (2004), The Lonely Villa (2004) and Romantic Delusion (2008) by critically acclaimed Danish filmmaker Jesper Just, Romantic Delusions is the first all-film exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum.
All four films are under 10 minutes in length and explore the complexities and contradictions of human emotion within the context of relationships. Vulnerabilities and the quixotic search for identity are particularly central. Born in Copenhagen in 1974, and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Jesper has had his work showcased in various institutions such as the Tate in London and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh.
